Humanity before civilisation. No kingdoms. No cities. No written law. Only cold, hunger, and the fragile strength of a tribe trying to endure another winter. Pathbind: Elder is a prehistoric survival card game where players struggle to keep their people alive using whatever the world provides: food, shelter, tools, spirit, and sometimes blood. Every decision is a trade-off. Hunt too boldly and you risk death. Play too cautiously and the tribe starves. Unlike most prehistoric-themed games, Elder avoids romanticised fantasy. The world is harsh, uncertain, and often unfair - exactly as survival once was. The game scales dramatically with player count. With two players it becomes a tense tactical duel where every action is deliberate. With three or four players the struggle turns into a competitive survival race. At five or six players it evolves into a shifting tribal economy where alliances, scarcity, and timing decide who survives. Elder is also designed for true portability. The entire game fits in a small deck and can be played almost anywhere - on a train, on a hike, during travel, or wherever a table is not available. No boards. No tokens. No setup beyond the cards themselves. Just survival. This game is the result of extensive design, testing and large-scale simulation, authored and engineered by humans. Generative tools are used for visual exploration and production workflows; the game system, rules and balance are entirely human-designed.

  • PLAY ANYWHERE - NO TABLE REQUIRED. Designed for true portability. Elder can be played while travelling, outdoors, or anywhere a table is not available. No boards, tokens, or setup required.
  • A GAME THAT CHANGES WITH PLAYER COUNT. Elder evolves dramatically depending on the number of players. Two players create a tense tactical duel. Three to four become a competitive survival struggle. Five to six players transform the game into a shifting tribal economy of scarcity and timing.
  • PREHISTORIC SURVIVAL STRATEGY. Lead a fragile tribe through a harsh prehistoric world. Manage food, tools, shelter, spirit, and conflict while trying to keep your people alive longer than the others.
  • A RAW AND TRUTHFUL PREHISTORIC WORLD. Most stone-age games romanticise the past. Elder does not. The world is harsh, uncertain, and survival is never guaranteed.
  • SMALL DECK, DEEP DECISIONS. A compact portable game with surprising strategic depth. Every card matters and every decision carries consequences.
  • IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING. Pathbind games are designed for thoughtful players who enjoy learning systems and making meaningful decisions. They are not casual party games or quick fillers. Please read the rules before playing and make sure the style of play matches what you are looking for.
